I recently received a set of Egyptian cotton sheets from Pure Parima for review. These sheets are certified by the Cotton Egypt Association which means they are actually made with cotton from Egypt. Most “Egyptian Cotton” sheets you find in stores and online are not authentic. With these sheets, you get an ultra-smooth, light and durable fabric that will last many years and feel wonderful wash after wash. Currently, a queen-size set retails for $230 before any discounts. Considering the quality, this is a very good deal.

Overview of Pure Parima Sheets

You can get these sheets directly from their website. They offer free shipping and free returns for all U.S. orders. Here’s a quick video overview of the sheets and the benefits. Often people equate quality sheets to those found in 5-star hotels which is often true but even some 5-star hotels can’t match the quality of these sheets.

How Much Do Pure Parima Sheets Cost?

Below are the prices of each as of this writing before any discounts.

Twin XL $200
California King$260

Construction of Pure Parima Sheets

As I said in the video, don’t be fooled by the thread count. Pure Parima uses a single ply yarn. Most sheets above 400 are either using double ply yarn where they twist two threads together or using pick insertions in the loom which are loose threads that can be prone to pilling.

My Pure Parima Findings

The packaging that comes with these sheets is just as luxurious as the sheets themselves. Here’s a picture of the box that they come in.

Inside the box is a nice welcome card.

The sheets are kept inside a self-packaged bag. You can use this bag to store the sheets when not in use. This allows them to breathe and keeps them clean and fresh.

Here’s what the sheets look like out of the box.

Here’s a closer view of the stitching on one of the pillowcases.

Here you can see that they carry the label of the Cotton Egypt Association, Accredited Gold Seal along with registration number.

So, how do these sheets feel? It’s hard to convey this in a picture but they are a sateen weave so very smooth and buttery feeling. Right out of the box they have a shine to them. Here’s a closeup but my camera had a hard time getting some of the stitching detail. This is a testament to the tightness of the weave.

These sheets will accommodate a mattress up to 18 inches deep. Here’s a picture of the drop on the fitted sheet. After washing these sheets there is some slight shrinkage so if you do have a mattress that is 18 inches deep it may be a little tight but most people don’t have mattresses over 15 inches deep.

My Pure Parima Sheets Recommendation

It pays to invest in quality sheeting. Pure Parima makes authentic Egyptian Cotton Sheets at a very reasonable price. I recommend having a set of quality white sheets for your bedroom. You can get fancy with your duvet or coverlet to make the room more interesting but since you will be in contact with the pillowcase, fitted and flat sheets, these are the items worth spending money on. Having slept on these sheets I love how light and airy they feel. They are definitely worth the investment.
