These are 300 thread count sateen weave sheets. That means they are both smooth and breathable. In addition, they are woven with long staple cotton which is very durable so you can expect to get years of consistent use out of these sheets.

Aside from look and feel, the story of how these sheets were made is just as important. They come from a Fair Trade certified farm and factory which means that the farmers and factory workers are paid a living wage. They are also GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified. GOTS is an independent organization that ensures the farms and factories are following their standards for the production of organic fibers all throughout the supply chain.

The cotton industry is a dirty industry. According to the Rodale Institute, cotton covers 2.5% of the world’s cultivated land and cotton growers use up to 16% of the world’s pesticides. Not all these pesticides simply wash out of your sheets either.

When you are creating your sleep environment, comfort should not be your only concern. Indoor air quality and sleeping on surfaces with a minimal amount of chemicals should also be a priority. That’s why these sheets are so appealing. You get comfort, quality, value and a clean product.

My Nest Bedding Organic Sheets Recommendation

These sheets are a great value and live up to the Nest brand. They compliment any of the Nest mattresses very well. At this price point, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t go organic over conventional cotton sheets.
