Helix Dusk vs. Midnight Luxe – Which is Best for You?

Helix Dusk vs Helix Midnight

At our Yawnder mattress showroom in San Diego, we carry both the Helix Midnight Luxe and Helix Dusk Luxe. They are the most popular models in the Helix lineup of mattresses and while both feel great, they do have some significant differences that will factor into your decision.

Who is the Helix Dusk Luxe Best For?

Individuals or couples who tend to sleep on their backs or stomachs and prefer a medium mattress with extra support and premium upgrades

Who is the Helix Midnight Luxe Best for?

Individuals or couples who tend to sleep on their sides and prefer a medium mattress with extra support and premium upgrades – our most popular Luxe model

What is the Key Difference between the Dusk Luxe and the Midnight Luxe?

These mattresses have basically identical construction. The key differentiator is the comfort layer. The Dusk Luxe has, “Helix Dynamic Foam” while the Midnight Luxe has, “high-density Memory Plus Foam.” Basically, that means that the Midnight Luxe has denser foam at the top which will provide a little more pressure relief but also recovery a bit more slowly. Most people have a hard time telling the two apart. You need to spend some time on the two so that you can appreciate the subtle differences.

My Helix Midnight and Dusk Luxe Recommendations

Helix is by far one of the most popular mattresses in our San Diego showroom. Of the two models we have on display, the Midnight Luxe edges out the Dusk Luxe in terms of popularity. While the Dusk is marketing to be a more versatile mattress for all types of sleepers, I would say that the Midnight Luxe is better with pressure relief and so will help you stay asleep a bit longer.

My Helix Recommendation

The Helix brand is quickly becoming one of the most popular and highly reviewed online mattress brands and for good reason. If the Helix Midnight or Helix Dusk Luxe just isn’t right for you, chances are one of their other models will be a great fit. If you are a heavy person, check out my Helix Plus review, it’s the best mattress for heavy people.

  1. Trying to decide between Helix Dusk Lux and Midnight lux.Back sleeper with chronic low back pain L5-S1. Bed can’t be too soft or too hard. I like to sleep more on top of the mattress than sinking in. A bouncier feel. I also have to avoid what some people have said is push back from the coils. I can’t decide between these two not understanding different between Helix dynamic foam and the memory foam. Not as firm and protective against feeling the coils pushing back into my low back. Any advice appreciated.
