Dream Composer Sleep Mask Review from PureCare

PureCare has just introduced a new and innovative sleep mask called the Dream Composer. What sets the Dream Composer apart from the rest of the pack is that it adds an element of aromatherapy to the mask. Each mask comes with 2 aromatherapy inserts that attach directly to the mask and then to your face when you put the mask on.

Below are the different scents you can choose from:

Lavender:
Long relied upon for relief from sore muscles, headaches, and inflammation, the calming, soothing and sedative effects of lavender may also improve sleep quality and promote relaxation.

Neroli:
Gathered in late spring from the blossoms of the bitter-orange tree, neroli exudes a sweetly floral and honeyed citrus scent that is said to ease harmful stress.

Jasmine:
A distinct and sweetly exotic fragrance, jasmine’s rich, warm floral scent has been known to sedate the nervous system, relieve headaches and ease insomnia.

Jojoba:
Distinctly different than other natural compounds, jojoba [hoh-hoh-buh] essential oil is Mother Nature’s closest replica to the body’s natural skin oil. Jojoba oil provides natural all-day moisture that won’t irritate or clog pores.

As you can see each has their unique benefit. I tested the lavender and found the scent to be very pleasant. Not overwhelming like some lavender products I have used. The insert piece that touches your face is sort of like a gel. It has a little bit of a cooling effect and helps to moisturize around your eyes so that when you wake up from a nap you will look that much more refreshed.

The Dream Composer can be used with out the inserts as well. The extra thick padding around the eyes allows you to blink and move your eyes with the mask on without having it touch any cloth. I hate it when sleep masks put too much pressure against my eyelids. I enjoy the darkness, not the feeling like I’m being blindfolded and taken hostage.

In addition to the sleep mask and 2 inserts. You will also receive a free travel case for your sleep mask with a convenient clip to attach to your luggage. Again, this is the perfect sleeping companion for a long flight or road trip. The mask completely blocks out light. Some of the other masks I have tried have a light opening around the bottom where it meets your nose. Not with Dream Composer, it’s pitch black.

The sleep mask attaches with Velcro to the back of your head. I find that preferable to an adjustable strap because it’s easy to get on and off. Sometime you want to adjust the tightness and Velcro makes it that much easier. You can also share it with your partner if you are sleeping in shifts.

In short this is a great sleep mask and the first that I have see that includes aromatherapy. It’s amazing how certain scents can really influence your mood and sense of well being. I will definitely be bringing this on my next trip and encourage you to do the same.
